What Movianx is

Movianx lets you visit a present-day corner of a town called Grayfall. You can hear what happened while you were away, and talk out loud with the people who live there.

They are AI characters. Our software decides what they do. An AI model words what they say. Their voices are synthetic. They and their town are fiction.

Who can use it

• You must be 13 or older.
• At launch, Talk and the While You Were Away lines written by the AI model are for adults, 18 and over. People aged 13 to 17 can open The Door and hear While You Were Away told only in the town's own lines.
• If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
• Give your real age. If you tell a resident you are under 13, the talk ends.
• At launch, Movianx is offered only in the United States.

The residents are AI characters

• The label "AI character" is always on screen beside a resident's name.
• If you sincerely ask whether a resident is real, the app answers plainly, outside the story.
• Residents are not real people and not professionals. Nothing they say is medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice. They can be wrong.
• Residents can't help in an emergency, and they can't call anyone for you. If you are thinking about suicide or self-harm, call or text 988. If you are in danger, call 911. See our Safety page.

Using Movianx well

Please don't:

• try to make residents produce sexual content, anything that sexualizes a minor, hate, harassment of real people, or instructions for violence or self-harm;
• use Movianx to break the law or to hurt anyone;
• create passes with scripts, emulators, modified apps or anything that pretends to be the Movianx app, or get around the daily limits or our device checks;
• overload or probe the app or our server;
• copy, decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, or try to extract the source code, models, prompts, voices or data behind the app or our server, except where the law gives you a right to that this agreement cannot take away;
• scrape, harvest or bulk-download anything from Movianx, or use the app or its replies to build, train, fine-tune, test or improve another AI model, product or service;
• copy our town, residents, voices, sounds or lines into other products;
• publish benchmarks, test results or descriptions of how Movianx works inside that you got by breaking these rules.

A safety screen reads every line before any reply is written, and it may hold a line. We may also end a talk, or limit or block a pass, if it breaks these rules.

Limits and availability

• Movianx is free at launch. If we ever charge for anything, you will see the price before you pay.
• Talk has a daily limit. When you reach it, the app tells you plainly. Each resident talks with one person at a time.
• If the day's voice budget runs out, talks open in text for the rest of the day.
• Talk and While You Were Away need an internet connection. The Door works without one.
• Movianx may sometimes be slow or down. We may change, pause or stop features.

Your words and our work

• What you say is yours. You let us process it to run Movianx: we screen it, and our service providers word and voice the replies, as our Privacy policy explains. We don't keep transcripts.
• The town, its residents, their stories, voices, lines and sounds, and the app, belong to Movianx LLC or the people who license them to us. We give you a personal, non-commercial license to use the app. You can't sell or sublicense it.
• You may share clips or screenshots of what residents say for personal, non-commercial use.
• How Movianx works is our confidential information. Using the app does not give you any right to it.

Reports

Every caption and every While You Were Away card has "Report this line". It sends us only the line's fingerprint. For anything else, write to us.

Apple

If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard license for App Store apps also applies. Apple is not responsible for Movianx or its support.

Ending

You can stop using Movianx at any time. Forget me, in the app, erases what our server keeps. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we need to in order to protect people or the service.

If you break these rules we may end your access at once, and we may ask a court to stop the misuse.

Our responsibility

Movianx is provided as it is, and as available. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always work, be error-free, or suit any purpose, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. If we are found liable to you, our total liability is limited to the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, in the United States. Any dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. There is no forced arbitration.

Changes

When these terms change, we will update this page and its date. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
